WHAT IS YOUNITI’S MISSION?

WHAT?

Youniti is a new platform that makes it easy for people to find goods, services and assistance available for free or under $40.

HOW?

Youniti is counting on your help to make the platform successful. The more you contribute to the site, the more Youniti will be able to share with the community.

Thanks for helping your community by creating an affordable marketplace on Youniti. Solidarity, ecology, sharing and mutual assistance on the local and global levels—these are the values that drive Youniti!

WHY GIVE OR SELL ON YOUNITI?

Yes, you can, provided that the goods and/or services fall under the same category.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTIONS

If you aren’t comfortable having strangers come to your home, arrange to meet outside or in a public place.

Once you have reached an agreement with another user, you may want to give them your telephone number. That way they can let you know if they are running late or have to cancel at the last minute.

SECTION 4: FIND, REQUEST AND PICK UP DONATIONS

HOW TO PICK UP ITEMS FROM A GIVER/SELLER?

These rules are just common sense, but a reminder is always useful.

It’s important to schedule a meeting time with the giver/seller and to be punctual.

Make sure you bring the giver/seller’s phone number with you. It might come in handy if you have trouble finding the meeting place or if you run late.

I CONTACTED A USER BUT NEVER HEARD BACK. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Some users get several messages and can’t answer everyone. If a user wants to offer you their item or service, they will send you a personal message.

SECTION 5 : TIPS FOR BUSINESSES

WHAT PRICE TO WRITE ON AN OFFER IF YOUR GOODS AND SERVICES HAVE VARIABLE PRICES ?

We suggest to businness advertising good and services with variable prices (such as restaurants), to write the starting price or the average price when creating an offer on Youniti. Thereafter, businesses can write the price details in the description of the offer. For example, a restaurant can specify that is table d'hôte is starting at $15.

DO BUSINESSES HAVE TO WRITE THEIR OFFER IN FRENCH OR IN ENGLISH ?

As Youniti is a bilingual website, we recommand to businesses to write their offer in French and in English. The English description can be right after the French one.

HOW DO I RATE A USER?

To rate another user, you have to wait to receive the evaluation e-mail. This email will automatically sent to you by Youniti's team when an offer for which you have contacted another user is deleted.
