As you know, the Youniti Foundation are building several wells in Benin thanks to your help. We are pleased to present to you today, one of the Youniti wells in the district of Sèdjè-Dénou, commune of Zè, Department of the Atlantic. It is accessible to all populations and it is close to the Sèdjè-Dénou market. Youniti, mutual aid, sharing for a better world.
Here is what the Youniti Center offers for free:
– training in haute couture, hairdressing, secretarial work, IT, shoemaking, carpentry, food processing, cosmetics, market gardening, permaculture and courses in French, mathematics and geography, etc.
– wellness workshops on personal development, family planning, domestic violence, equality, support for women, child protection and environmental awareness, etc.
– the distribution of sandals to disadvantaged young people and adults (made at the Youniti Center from recycled tires)
– free leisure activities for all, on Wednesdays and Saturdays: board games, dance, choreography, singing, sport, percussion, drawings, colouring, animation, etc…
We are delighted with the success of this magnificent Youniti Center and the help it will be able to bring to the populations of the Commune of Zè. During the inauguration, more than 500 people were present at the event, adults and children, as well as several authorities. It was a great success !
The Youniti Center will offer free of charge : training in sewing, hairdressing, secretarial work, IT, lessons on well-being, ballet, arts, theater lessons, library, slide, swings, children’s play area, board games, card games and many others, sporting activities, such as football championships, with trophies and honorable mentions, end of year shows, contests, raffles and more. In this center, we also have a cassava processing unit and much more. You are all welcome. With all our love, see you soon!
We are pleased to present the construction of another Youniti well in Benin. This one is located in the department of Bourgou, village of Komiguea. Previously, there were no drinking water wells near this village. Villagers had to walk for miles to access water. They are now very grateful and happy with the construction of this well, as we can see in this video. Thank you for contributing to the Youniti Foundation, together we can create a better world.
We are pleased to present to you the inauguration of another Youniti well, this time in the department of Borgour, in the commune of Parakou, 1st arrondissement, Orou Guererou district. This location is very strategic, because this well will serve not only the villagers, but also all the pupils of the public primary school of Orou Guererou and the Orou Guererou health center located not far from this precious well. We would like to thank once again the participation of Youniti’s partners, the members of the NGO Étoiles de la Fraternité who once again did an excellent job in planning and organizing the work. This would not be possible without their contribution. As we all know, water is essential for life, so it is always much appreciated. Thank you for your generosity !
The Youniti Foundation donated a latrine (3 bathrooms) to the Yemicodji public primary school, in Cotonou, Benin. Yemicodji School, with 327 students, had no bathroom and everyone had to go in the bush, sometimes encountering snakes and other wild animals. But thanks to your donations, children and teachers are now very happy to be able to use the bathroom safely. A special thank you to NGO Étoiles de la Fraternité for their faithful collaboration in the field, it is always a great pleasure to work together. We are pleased to present the inauguration of a new Youniti Well ! This new well is located, this time, in Sehoué, Zou department, municipality of Sehoué in Benin in Africa. The villagers are very happy to have a drinking water well near their house. In addition, a school is located very close to this well and therefore children and teachers will also be able to benefit from it. We would like to thank our donors from Spiegel Sohmer for their generous donation which enabled the construction of this precious well. We would also like to thank our loyal partners on the ground NGO Étoiles de la Fraternité for their contribution to this project. We are pleased to announce the inauguration of a new Youniti well in Africa, Benin! This time it is located in Oueme department, Seme-Podji commune in Gbakpodji village. What happiness for the villagers who were in great need of drinking water nearby. This village is now provided with drinking water and the villagers thank us all for our precious help. We are very grateful for your donations and we thank the company NIXA inc. who gave, for the second time, a donation for a new well. Thank you also to our faithful collaborators NGO Étoiles de la Fraternité, for their contribution on the ground in Benin. All together we succeed in helping several villages to obtain drinking water. The Youniti Foundation is pleased to announce that our first well in Hantan à Zinvié, Benin is now operational. The well was installed in collaboration with Étoiles de la Fraternité.
Previously, local residents of all ages—including children—had to walk more than 10 kilometres in 40°C to get water. It was clear that a well was badly needed. Now, a community of more than 20,000 people will benefit from this life-changing well.
Water is essential for life. Unfortunately, it’s still extremely hard to access in many areas of Benin. We’re counting on your support and generosity to help us meet our goal of digging 154 wells across the country.
